What To Do When You Can’t Pay Your Westar Energy Bill

Westar Energy offers multiple payment options to make paying your bill more convenient for you. Pay in person: Walk-in payments to that address are not accepted.

Pay online: To pay your bill online , visit: https://www-11.westarenergy.com/payonline.asp and enter the required information to make a one time payment online. You will be charged a convenience fee of $2.95 for paying online with a credit or debit card.

Pay in person: To pay your bill in person visit the payment center listings to find the location nearest you.

Pay by phone: To pay your bill by phone, the number you call will depend on your payment method. If you are calling to pay with a credit or a debit card, you will need to call: 1-800-584-1252. If you are calling to pay with a checking or savings account, you will need to call: 1-800-383-1183. There is no fee to pay via phone this way.

Average billing: Average Billing tracks your annual usage and divides it into 12 equal monthly payments so you always know what the bill will be. This way you are not paying more in the summer than you are in the winter, and it is easier to maintain your overall budget.

How The Penalty Fees Work

Westar Energy will charge a late fee if the bill is not paid on time. The late fee will depend on how much the past due balance is. If you have your service disconnected because of non-payment, you may have to pay a fee to have service turned on again.
