How to Pay the Bill

The service is automated so you can call 24 hours a day. You will need the card number and security code from the back of the card to make a payment.

Pay in person: Payment locations are available throughout Cleveland. Customers need to visit the Authorized Payment Agencies page to enter a zip code for local payment centers.

How the Penalty Fees Work

Penalty fees can be avoided if you contact customer service before your due date, in some cases.

  • Late payment charges: If your payment is received more than 5 days past the due date you will be charged a 1.5% late fee. The extra 5 days are given to allow mail payment processing.
  • Same day connection charge: $35
  • Field collection charge: $12
  • Reconnection charge: $35 (during normal business hours); $60 (same day reconnection).
  • Returned payment charge: $15

I Can’t Make a Payment

Extended Due Date: The company is willing to give you five extra days to pay your bill if you need the extra time to pay.

Extended Payment Plan: Breaks your current balance into smaller payments until you get on your feet. Charged in addition to current charges.

Military Deferment: Contact customer service if you or your spouse is currently on active duty.

PIPP Plus: Call 1-800-589-3101 to apply for the PIPP Plus program. Allows customers to pay a portion of their income instead of the total amount due.
