I Can’t Make a Payment
If you find you cannot make your UGI payment on-time, customer service wants you to call immediately. There are several programs available for customers in financial trouble. UGI encourages all customers to review ways to save on energy bills available on the official website. Lowering energy bills is the first option for reducing total cost of energy bills each month.
- Extended due date: If you are on a fixed income or cannot make payments for other financial reasons, UGI may extend the due date to accommodate monthly or delayed income.
- Budget billing: UGI estimates the monthly usage on your account and bills based on that average. The budget billing amount is reviewed every three months and adjusted up or down based on actual usage.
- Payment arrangements: Customer service acknowledged a payment arrangement option for some UGI customers. The details of payment arrangements are available via customer service at 1-800-652-0550 for UGI Central Penn Gas customers and 1-800-276-2722 for all other customers.
- LIHEAP: This federal program assists with heating and cooling costs. You may ask how to qualify for energy assistance with LIHEAP? You will need to meet certain income guidelines prior to approval. With limited funds available, we suggest you apply for LIHEAP assistance early.
In addition to these UGI programs, there may be state or federal programs available to UGI customers. Contact the Department of Health and Human Services for information on available programs.
