How the Penalty Fees Work
Infinite Energy charges a variety of fees, depending on the state in which you reside. The fees include late payment fees, returned check fees and connection fees.
- Late payment – Infinite Energy charges a late payment fee of 5% of the past due amount (Texas), 1.5% of the past due amount (New Jersey) and $20 or 1.5%, depending on the company (New York).
- Returned check – The fee Infinite Energy charges for returned checks is $15 to $18 (New Jersey); $10 (New York).
- Connection – The connection fee charged by Infinite Energy is $20 to $40 (New York).
I Can’t Make a Payment
Infinite Energy offers assistance programs for customers that can’t pay your monthly bill. The services include a Senior Citizens Discount, assistance from a regulated provider and CrediAbility.
- Senior Citizen Discount – This service is available for customers that are a minimum of 65 years old with a household income of $14,355 or less. The monthly discount is $14.
- Regulated provider – This service is offered by SCANA Energy and offers energy assistance to qualified low-income customers of Infinite Energy.
- CrediAbility – This is a credit counseling service provided by Infinite Energy. You have the ability to work with this organization in order to pay your heating bill.
