DUO BURN (originally called Thrive Burn), the newest patch in Le-Vel’s Thrive Plus line, bills itself as the “latest advancement” in weight management. The marketing language has shifted too — from weight loss, appetite suppression, and fat burning to the softer terms weight management, appetite management, and nutritional support.
That shift seemed minor at first, until our research team came across this line in the company’s own materials: “Many THRIVERS will notice they are hungrier while using BURN.” Increased hunger doesn’t exactly line up with the idea of appetite management, which is where our research picked up.
What Is Thrive DUO BURN?
Thrive DFT Burn, or DUO BURN, is the latest patch from Le-Vel. Thrive patches have been around for years, recently taking on brighter colors and new shapes. On the adhesive side of the patch is where the actual ingredients live, and as with Le-Vel’s other patches, it’s genuinely hard to fit a meaningful amount of any active ingredient into something that small.
Do the ingredients themselves hold up? Research in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition found that coleus forskohlii “may help mitigate weight gain in overweight females.” Nutrition Research found that Satiereal “produces a reduction of snacking and creates a satiating effect that could contribute to body weight loss.” And a green tea-caffeine combination “improved [weight management] independently through thermogenesis,” according to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
What Is DFT Technology?
DFT, or Derma Fusion Technology, is how ingredients in Thrive Patch, Thrive DUO, and Thrive DUO BURN are delivered into the body — described by Le-Vel as a “technology driven breakthrough.”

Who Is Le-Vel?
Le-Vel is a health and wellness company founded by Jason Camper and Paul Gravette. Based on their LinkedIn profiles, both have general business experience, but neither shows a background in health or wellness specifically. Le-Vel operates as a multi-level marketing company, relying on promoters to sell products and recruit new ambassadors — a structure similar to what’s sometimes labeled a pyramid scheme, though that framing doesn’t automatically apply to every MLM. Other Le-Vel products include Premium Lifestyle Capsules, Ultra Micronized Shake Mix, Thrive2o Alkaline Water, Thrive Gummies, Thrive Pink Pro, 10-Day Total Detox, and several other patches and supplements.
Thrive Plus DUO BURN Ingredients
The formula includes ForsLean 95, chlorogenic acid (green coffee), Satiereal, guarana, green tea, white willow bark, beta-hydroxybutyrate, CoQ10, cosmoperine, L-arginine, limonene, and aloe vera.
ForsLean 95
A branded coleus forskohlii extract from Sabinsa. The company references clinical backing, though our research mostly turned up patent filings rather than published studies — one U.S. patent describes “a method of promoting lean body mass in an individual.”
Chlorogenic Acid (Green Coffee)
A major player in weight-loss supplements generally (Hydroxycut’s entire line centers on it). Animal research from the University of Michigan Medical Center suggests green coffee extract and chlorogenic acid “may help with weight loss and reducing abdominal fat,” and one uncontrolled human study found that people drinking 750 mL daily of green-coffee-infused coffee for four weeks ate fewer calories and lost weight.
Satiereal
Derived from saffron.
Guarana
A caffeine source from a South American tree. An animal study in Nutrients found that guarana-treated animals, even on a high-fat diet, had lower body weight, lower fat deposits, and higher energy expenditure.
Green Tea
A source of catechins, caffeine, and polyphenols.
White Willow Bark
A natural aspirin alternative; the Avicenna Journal of Phytomedicine attributes its antioxidant properties to its phenolic content.
Beta-Hydroxybutyrate (BHB)
An exogenous ketone commonly used in keto supplements. The Journal of Nutrition and Metabolism notes BHB “has been reported to deliver positive results in support of fitness, weight management, cognition, and performance enhancement.”
CoQ10
Research in Scientific Reports and the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition suggests CoQ10 may improve metabolic markers linked to obesity and extend time to exhaustion during training.
Cosmoperine
Another Sabinsa-branded ingredient — notably, its creators originally marketed it for cosmetic products and insecticides, not weight loss.
L-Arginine
A semi-essential amino acid the Journal of Dietary Supplements suggests “may be effective at reducing central adiposity in obese patients.”
Does Thrive DUO BURN Work?
There’s anecdotal evidence suggesting DUO BURN might work for some users, but our research focused specifically on whether transdermal delivery itself is well-supported. The British Journal of Pharmacology notes that skin-patch delivery systems “represent a key outcome from the growth in skin science, technology and expertise developed through trial and error, clinical observation and evidence-based studies that date back to the first existing human records” — a long history, though not necessarily proof this specific patch delivers a therapeutic dose of any one ingredient.
DUO BURN Side Effects
Since there’s been no direct clinical research on Thrive Plus DUO BURN itself, there are no officially documented side effects tied to the product — clinical testing is expensive, and few MLM supplements undergo it. Based on the individual ingredients, which do carry over a decade of research history, possible side effects include headaches, excess energy (jitters, shakes, nausea), skin irritation from the adhesive, and caffeine-related nausea or vomiting.
What’s the Difference Between Thrive DUO and Thrive Plus DUO BURN?
Functionally, nothing — the ingredient lists for both patches are identical. Since Le-Vel doesn’t disclose exact amounts (ingredients are typically listed most to least concentrated), it’s reasonable to conclude DFT DUO and DUO BURN are effectively the same product.
What Does DUO BURN Cost?
Pricing has appeared on third-party sites like Poshmark in the past, with a 5-day experience around $50, a 7-day experience around $60, and a 7-day sample with Pro Bars around $65 — though as of our most recent check, we found no outside listings, and official Le-Vel pricing requires a customer login.
Where Can You Buy Thrive DUO BURN?
Le-Vel keeps sales tightly controlled through its official site and promoters, though third-party sites like Poshmark, eBay, and occasionally Amazon carry it. You can’t purchase directly from the official website without going through a promoter, typically found via Facebook.
Pros and Cons of Thrive Plus DUO BURN

Pros: Le-Vel does disclose the ingredients in the patch, and some of those ingredients have research suggesting a positive impact on weight management.
Cons: A patch this small realistically can’t hold a clinically meaningful dose of most ingredients, you can’t purchase without going through a promoter, and DFT DUO and DUO BURN appear to be functionally the same product under different names.
The Bottom Line on Thrive DUO BURN
Le-Vel has a solid reputation, and we don’t take issue with most of the ingredients chosen for DUO BURN — the real question is dosage. How much green tea, guarana, or any other active ingredient can realistically fit onto a patch that small? Healthy eating, improved nutrition, and regular exercise remain the foundation of any lasting weight-loss result, with supplementation, at best, playing a supporting role rather than doing the heavy lifting.
