What to Do When You Can’t Pay Your Pinnacle West Bill

Pinnacle West is the mother company for APS Electric. APS provides electric service to customers directly, but Pinnacle West is the electric company behind the customer service, rules and regulations followed by APS. Customers will interact directly with the APS website, not the Pinnacle West website, when they access their bill and make payments online.

How to Pay the Bill

Pay online: You can pay your Pinnacle West bill online at https://www.aps.com/svcs/choosepaymentmethod.acx. You must register for online account access. Payments by electronic check are free.

Pay online with a credit card: You can choose to pay online with a credit card using the NCO payment service. You will be charged $5.90 per payment.

Pay by phone: Electronic checks are accepted by phone at 1-800-253-9405. There is no fee for this service.

Pay by phone credit card: You can use the NCO payment services to make a payment by phone with your credit card. Simply call 1-866-261-2737. You will pay a $5.90 fee for using this service.

Pay by mail: You can mail your payment to Pinnacle West at:

How the Penalty Fees Work

Penalty fees are charged to Pinnacle West customer accounts if they don’t past payment by the date listed on the bill. Pinnacle West offers direct online payments, so customers need to contact the service department if they are unable to make an online payment by the due date to prevent penalties.

  • Late payment fee: 1.5% of the total amount past due per month.
  • Field charge: $15 plus tax if an agent tries to collect payment in person.
  • Reconnect fee: Ranges from $25 to $125 plus tax; added to the bill following the reconnect.

I Can’t Make a Payment

Payment arrangements are available for Pinnacle West customers. Simply login to your account and click on the payment arrangements link. You must be logged in before clicking the link or you’ll be taken to the login page.
