The Healdsburg Municipal Electric Department, also referred to as Healdsburg Electric, offers electric services for the city in California. The electric department employs just 11 people, but the company supports solar electricity generation and offers online payment options.

How to Pay the Bill

Pay online: You can pay your Healdsburg Municipal Electric Department bill online at https://utilities.cityofhealdsburg.org/ecare/login.asp. You must have your account number and your password to make a payment. You can sign up online for immediate access.

Pay in person: Utility payments are accepted at City Hall. You must pay with cash, check or credit card.

Pay at a drop box: Customers desiring to make a payment after hours can use the drop box located on the north end of the City Hall building. There is a second drop box in the parking lot.

Pay at the senior center: Visit the Senior Center on Matheson Street to drop off your utility bill payment.

Pay automatically: You can download the EasyPay application and attach a voided check before dropping off at City Hall. Your bill payment will be deducted from your checking or savings account each month.

Customers should feel comfortable calling the service department with any questions they have about billing statements. Customer service can be reached at 1-707-431-3307. Some of the charges and fees are discussed online, but no penalty fees are listed. There is a schedule of fees available, but customers must download the document to view fees.

How the Penalty Fees Work

All fees are located on a Master Document listing charges for each city department. Customers can search for the Master Fee Schedule and download the document as desired.

  • Reconnect fee: $61 charged each time services are disconnected. Customers must pay the past due balance and all other fees before reconnecting.
  • Returned check: $25 on first offense.
  • Returned check: $35 each offense after the first.
  • Stop payment: $43 per stopped payment.

I Can’t Make a Payment

Healdsburg Municipal Electric Department offers electric services so customers using that electric to heat or cool the home may be eligible for LIHEAP. Contact customer service at 1-707-431-3346 to learn more about payment arrangements and local programs, including LIHEAP.

It is best to contact the customer service department as soon as you know you’ll not be able to pay your bill. Otherwise, the company will charge late payment fees making it harder to pay off the balance.
