Checking account and credit card payments are accepted. Customers must register for a free online account before submitting payment.

Pay by phone: Phone payments are accepted through an automated service 24 hours a day. Call 1-678-376-6800 and follow the phone prompts to make a payment. If your service is in jeopardy of being disconnection, do not use this option. Payments may take up to 48 hours to post to your account. Credit and debit cards (with a credit card logo) are accepted by phone.

How the Penalty Fees Work

Gwinnet County Water charges several fees if customers are unable to make payment on-time or if service is disconnected for non-payment.

  • Deposit: All customers must pay a deposit of $50 for residential homes. This deposit is non-refundable, so customers cannot use this deposit to make payment when discontinuing service nor will the deposit be returned when service is discontinued.
  • Late payment fee: 10% of the total unpaid bill.
  • Returned check fee: Charged at the maximum allowed by the state. The amount may vary as state laws change.
  • Non-payment service restoration: $50 per instance.
  • Same day reconnection from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.: $125 per instance.
  • Same day reconnection from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.: $250 per instance.
