What to Do When You Can’t Pay your Denver Water Bill
Denver Water started as a small water company, but today service is provided to more than one million people living in and around the Denver, Colorado area. The company is public and is thus run on water fees and charges not tax money. Denver Water was honored with a second place finished in a taste test competition.
How to Pay the Bill
Automatic bill payment: From your online account, sign up for the automatic payment service. This service takes the total amount of your Denver Water bill from the payment account listed during sign up. Payments are made on the due date for the account.
Online bill pay (WebPay): WebPay is an online payment processor that does not require an online account. This is a one-time payment option. You can pay your Denver Water bill online at https://paynow7.speedpay.com/DenverWater/index.asp. There is no fee for this service. Customers can pay using a credit card, debit card with a credit card logo or electronic check.
Phone: Call 1-800-556-0292 to make a payment by phone. There is a fee of $2.50 to make payment with the help of a customer service agent. If you use the automated system to make a phone payment, the service is free.
Text message: Sign up for the Text to Pay service online. Five days before your bill due date, you will receive a text message alerting you that payment is due. You simply reply YES H20 to the text and your payment will be deducted from the payment account on file.
In person: King Soopers and Walmart stores in the Denver area often accept payment for Denver Water bills. There may be a fee associated with making payment at these locations. If you have received a disconnect notice, contact customer service at 1-303-893-2444 to make an immediate payment.

- Delinquent non-payment (service disconnected): $50
- Returned check: $30 per check
- Late payment fee: 5% of the past due balance
