How The Penalty Fees Work

Colorado Fees:

  • Returned payment fee: $15 per returned payment
  • Restoration of service: $36 to $50
  • Restoration of service after normal business hours: $75

Iowa fees:

  • Late payment fee: 1.5% of the past due balance

Kansas fees:

  • Late payment fee: 2% of the past due balance
  • Collection fee: $15

Nebraska fees:

  • Late payment fee: 1% of the past due balance
  • Returned payment fee: $20
  • Reconnect fee: $30
