What to Do When You Can’t Pay Your ADT Bill

ADT is a well-known security service providing installation and monitoring of security systems in residential and commercial buildings. The company offers special packages with free installation and upgrades from time to time, but contracts require two to three years of monitoring unless customers want to pay an early termination fee. If a customer moves while under contract, ADT will require the customer start a new contract at the new address.

How to Pay a Bill

ADT uses local monitoring companies in many cases. In this case, you need to send payment to the local company named on your contract. If your contract is through ADT, there are various options for making payment.

Pay online: Customers with an online account can pay your ADT bill online by logging in at https://www.myadt.com/. If you don’t have an online account, it is free to register. You will need your site phone number, zip code on file with ADT and PIC, PIN or code word.

Pay by mail: All ADT payments should be mailed to the address on the return envelope included with your monthly bill. If you’ve lost the enclosed envelope, include your account number on the money order or personal check and mail the payment to:

ADT
PO Box 371490
Pittsburg, PA 15250

Questions About Your Billing Statement or Account?

On a monthly basis you will recieve your ADT billing statement or account, but you may not understand all of the fine details. If this is the case, we suggest reviewing the ADT terms and conditions page. For additional information concerning your billing statement or account, you should contact customer service at 1-800-232-2727.

How the Penalty Fees Work

There are no penalty fees listed on the ADT website. We know ADT charges late fees, collection fees and returned check fees based on information provided by current and former customers via online forums. The amount of these charges may differ from one state to another.

I Can’t Make a Payment

Customers having trouble making a monthly or quarterly ADT bill should contact customer service for information on payment programs. The number for ADT customer service is 1-800-ADT-ASAP or 1-800-232-2727.

  • Extended due date: Customers having trouble making payment by the due date may request an extension. Due dates are not listed on ADT bills as all bills are due upon receipt, but it is best to contact customer service if payment will be delayed.
  • Payment plan: ADT is not known for offering payment plans for past due bills, but there could be exceptions to this so contacting customer service before your bill is sent to collection is the best option.
