How the Penalty Fees Work
The JCPenney Rewards card charges 26.99% APR on any amount that is left on the card after the 23 day billing period. There’s also a late payment fee if the minimum payment is not paid. The first time a payment is skipped the late fee is $25. However, if you miss two or more payments within six months, a $35 late fee will be applied for each missed payment. If the late fee is more than the minimum payment, the late fee will be the amount of the minimum payment instead of the $25 or $35 charge.
