USTIA is the US Travel Insurance Association. The organization does not sell insurance directly to the consumer, they only work as the middle man, of sorts, for companies that want to ensure consumers they are legitimate and trustworthy. When you want to find trustworthy travel insurance the USTIA helps you connect with companies that have taken the time to apply for membership with the travel organization. You will not purchase insurance directly from USTIA and you will not make payments directly to USTIA. All payments are made to the company you choose to purchase travel insurance from. In the case of travel insurance, most policy premiums are paid in full before the departure date for the trip.
