How to Pay the Bill

Pay online: You can pay your San Antonio Water bill online by visiting https://secure.saws.org/login.saws. There are one-time payment options for customers paying by bank account, Visa or Mastercard. Recurring payments are also available from your account page.

Automatic payments: Customers who want to set payments and forget them can sign up for automatic payments. Payments are debited from the account on file each month on the due date. The service is free.

Pay in-person customer service center: Making payments in-person is simple with three convenient payment locations at:

Pay in-person third party processing: Customers can make in-person payments at more than 100 authorized payment processors in the San Antonio area.

Pay by phone: Phone payments are processed directly by San Antonio customer service. Customers must call 1-210-704-7297. The service is available 24 hours a day. Payments are accepted via bank account and credit/debit card with Visa or Mastercard logos.

How the Penalty Fees Work

San Antonio Water does charge penalty fees for late payments and disconnected service.

  • Late payment fee: 5% of the unpaid late balance. This fee is recurring and will be charged to the account each month based on any rolling unpaid balance.
  • Security deposit: San Antonio Water charges deposits for new customer accounts, in some cases. If a customer is disconnected for non-payment or makes recurring late payments, the company may charge a deposit.
  • Disconnect/Reconnect: Fees will be assessed for services in conjunction with disconnections and reconnections.

I Can’t Make a Payment

San Antonio Water customer service confirmed a payment plan for customers who could not make payment on-time. The details of the payment plan are determined by account activity, total amount due and past history of the account. Other means of financial assistance include:

  • Project Aqua: Helps customers who are elderly, disabled or with children make past due bill payment for services rendered by San Antonio Water.
  • Plumbers to People: Service for plumbing repairs at no cost to low-income customers.
