Safety Insurance offers several methods for customers to pay your bill. The available methods include online payments, automatic deductions, phone payments, in-person payments and mail payments.

Pay online: Customers can pay your Safety Insurance bill online by visiting https://www.safetyinsurance.com/myaccount/log_in.pl. You have the ability to make payments using your credit card or debit card as well as your combined bill account. You will not be able to make online payments through PayPal or foreign financial institutions. The service is free for registered Safety Insurance customers.

Automatic deductions: Customers can pay your Safety Insurance bill by having he funds automatically deducted from your checking or savings account. The service is free for registered Safety Insurance customers.

Combined bill: Customers can pay your Safety Insurance bill by consolidating multiple accounts into one account. The service costs an additional $6 per month.

How the Penalty Fees Work

Several of the fees Safety Insurance charges occur on a monthly basis, while others are assessed on a per instance basis. The fees include late payment fees, insurance policy fee and security deposit.

  • Security deposit – Safety Insurance charges a security deposit in the event your policy is terminated within the previous two years for non-payment.
  • Insurance policy fees – Customers that are covered under the homeowners, dwelling fire and personal umbrella policy are charged a fee of $6 per month if your premium is not paid in full. Customers covered under the auto insurance policy in Massachusetts are charged a monthly fee of 15% or $6 in your premium is not paid in full. New Hampshire customers are charged a fee of $4 per month.
  • Late payment – Safety Insurance charges customers a late payment fee of $15 to $25 if your payment is not received by the established due date.

I Can’t Make a Payment

We spoke to the customer service representative and they explained that Safety Insurance offers payment arrangements for customers that can’t pay your bill. You have the ability to not pay your premium in full and receive an additional four to six months to pay your bill. You are charged for the convenience of making additional payments.
