Questions About Your Billing Statement or Account?

Have you noticed fees on your billing statement or account such as late payment fees and processing fees that were not explained to you? If this is the case, we suggest you review the Provident Funding FAQs. If you have additional questions, you should contact customer service at 1-800-696-8199.

How The Penalty Fees Work

You will be charged a late fee for not making your payment on time. You may also be charged a fee if your payment is returned by your bank for insufficient funds. If you go too long without making a payment, you could see negative impact on your credit report.

I Can’t Make A Payment

If you can’t make your Provident Funding bill payment, the company has several resources available to customers. The first step is to contact customer service at 1-800-696-8199. The customer service representative will provide you with one of three options, repayment plan, loan modification or short sale.

  • Repayment plan – Your past due amount is broken into 10 equal amounts. This amount is added to your regular monthly payment.
  • Loan modification – Your past due interest and escrow is added to your unpaid principle. Your payments are then re-amortized.
  • Short sale – You will need to sell your home and use the money toward the balance of your loan.

Will They Work With Me To Pay My Bill?

Provident Funding will do everything they can to ensure your mortgage stays current. However, when payments are not made for several months on end, they may have to work to reclaim the home through foreclosure. If you are a current or past Provident Funding customer, please share your experience below to help other customers.
