How to Pay the Bill

Providence Health makes it simple for patients to keep track of medical bills and insurance claims online. Your MyProvidence account is available after receiving care from a Providence location. You may be required to register for online account access with your account number.

Pay medical bills online: You can pay your Providence bill online at https://www.providence.org/billpay/default.aspx. If this is the first time you’ve used online bill pay, you must choose the image that looks similar to your bill. From there, follow the on-screen instructions to make a payment. You need the account number and patient name to make a payment online.

Pay health insurance premiums online: If you need to make a health insurance premium payment, you must log-in to the MyProvidence website.

Pay by mail: Mail payments are accepted by Providence Health, but the patient must address the payment to the location listed on the bill. There are more than 20 Providence Health locations across five states. All locations and providers have different mailing addresses. Include your account number or patient ID number on your payment for faster processing.

How the Penalty Fees Work

There are no penalty fees listed for Providence Health, but that doesn’t mean the business doesn’t charge fees. With more than one location in multiple states, the fees likely differ from one location to the next. Patients can expect to pay penalty fees for:

  • Returned payments
  • Late payments
  • Collection after non-payment

I Can’t Make a Payment

Providence Health, like nearly every other medical provider, will work with patients to setup a payment plan. Payment plan details will vary based on the total amount owed and the age of the medical account. If medical bills are not paid, Providence Health will send the account to collection where additional fees will be added to the account. Collection shows up as a negative mark on your credit report.

Providence Health will bill your medical insurance company, but you may be required to pay a co-payment and/or a portion of the total expense before receiving elective health care and tests. The remaining balance after your health insurance covers a portion of the bill is the responsibility of the patient.

Will They Work With Me to Pay My Bill?

Medical bills can take a patient by storm. If you’ve worked with Providence Health and managed to control your monthly bill payments with a payment plan, let us know. We’d love to pass your experience on to other patients.

Overall, providence health insurance bill remains worth understanding before you decide.
