How to Pay Your Bill
Pay automatically: Customers can sign up for an auto-pay program through New Mexico Gas or Service Station. There is no fee for either selection and automatic payments can be cancelled at any time.
Pay online: Customers can use Service Station to pay your New Mexico bill payment online. This service is free of charge and can be accessed here http://www.nmgco.com/One-Time_Electronic_Payment.aspx. Customers must make payment with a checking account to use this service.
Pay by mail: Customers have the option to pay bills by mail. Payments must be addressed to:

Pay by phone: Customers can make phone payments through Bill Matrix. This third-party payment processor charges a fee per transaction. The fee is not paid to New Mexico Gas. Customers can call 1-866-680-5512 to make payment with a credit card, debit card or checking account by phone.

How the Penalty Fees Work
- Deposit: When natural gas service is started, New Mexico Gas requires a deposit of 1.5 times the highest monthly bill as charged in the previous 12 months. Low income customers may be taken into special consideration.
- Disconnection: Customers who do not make payments on-time may have service disconnected by New Mexico Gas. This disconnection will result in late payment fees and reconnection fees.
- Reconnection: Reconnection fees are applicable when service is restored. The customer must pay all past due amounts and bring the account current before service is restored.
- Late Payment: New Mexico Gas charges a late payment fee if customers do not pay the bill payment on-time.

Payment arrangements: Payment arrangements are available to customers having trouble making bill payment by the due date. Customers must contact 1-888-664-2726 to request payment arrangement. It is best to contact New Mexico Gas immediately if you’ve received a disconnection date.
Low income energy assistance: New Mexico Gas offers detailed instructions for customers wishing to apply for low income energy assistance through the state of New Mexico. Customers must call 1-800-283-4465 to find a local Department of Human Services. LIHEAP applications are available online and must be printed and filled out before dropping off the application in person, faxing or mailing to your local DHHS office.
How to qualify for energy assistance with LIHEAP? LIHEAP requires customers meet certain income guidelines based on household size. All amounts are per month.
