How the Penalty Fees Work
Mississippi Power charges penalty fees if a customer does not remit payment by the date listed on the bill. Customers can contact the service department for more information on penalty fees if desired.
- Late payment fee: $4 if total amount due is more than $5.
- Reconnection: $40 (normal business hours), $100 (after normal business hours), $50 (at the meter) and $75 (at the pole).
- Collection fee: $15 if payment is collected at the billing address.
