What to Do When You Can’t Pay You MediaCom Bill
MediaCom is a cable company offering Internet, telephone, cable television and bundled packages. As is the case with most cable companies, many of the bundled packages are offered at reduced prices for a set period of time. Prices may increase after the special pricing period expires.
How to Pay the Bill
MediaCom offers several options for customers to make bill payments on-time.
Recurring payments: Customers have the option of signing up for recurring payments. Payments can be deducted from a bank account, credit card or debit card. Recurring payment setup is available from your online account or through customer service at 1-855-633-4226.
One-time online payments: Customers who have an online account can make a one-time payment. You can pay your Mediacom bill online at http://mediacomcable.com/CustomerSupport/billinglogin.html.
Automated phone payments: Customers can use the automated account system to make cable bill payments. The system can be reached at 1-855-633-4226 and is available 24 hours a day. There is no mention of a service charge associated with automated payments. Customers can only make payments with a credit card.
Payment centers: Local payment centers accept payments for MediaCom bills. The nearest payment center is located at the address on your cable bill.
Payments by mail: There is no mailing address listed for payments, but customers can find the address of their local payment center by visiting the location finder. This center may be able to receive mail payments.
Questions About Your Billing Statement or Account?
Customers can find answers to commonly asked billing questions on the Customer Service FAQs page. If the answer to your question about fees and charges is not listed in the FAQs section, Mediacom suggests contacting customer service at 1-855-633-4226.
How the Penalty Fees Work
Penalty fees are typically assessed for late payments, insufficient funds and disconnection or reconnection. MediaCom does not list disconnection or reconnection fees, nor did we find any information on security deposits.
- Late fee: Late fees are charged when bill payments are not received by the date on the bill. MediaCom does not divulge late fee amounts.
- Insufficient funds charge: An NSF or insufficient funds fee will be charged to your account if your check or payment is returned for lack of funds.
- Field collection charge: If a field agent is required to visit your home to collect payment, you will be charged a field collection charge.
I Can’t Make a Payment
There are no payment arrangement options listed on the MediaCom website. When we contacted customer service, the agent advised us there was a payment arrangement option, but no details of the arrangement were available to non-customers.
