What to Do When You Can’t Pay Your Knology Bill

Knology is a cable company offering television, Internet and telephone service to customers. There are individual services and bundles available. Typically, cable bills are charged the same amount each month, but when bundle prices expire, customers may be caught off-guard with higher cable bills. While the company headquarters is located in Georgia, service is provided in Florida, South Dakota, Georgia, Kansas and other states.

Pay by phone: Customers can call 1-877-566-5649 to make a Knology payment by phone. This number is also the number for Knology customer service.

Pay online: You can pay your Knology bill online at https://my.knology.net/MyKnology/H_home.jsp. Customers must register for account access to MyKnology before making payment. You will need your account number to register.

WireGrass: Some customers can make payment through Wiregrass Bill Pay. There is no information about this service, just a log in page.

How the Penalty Fees Work

Customer service is available to work with Knology customers to arrange payment plans so penalty fees can be avoided.

• Late payment fee: Knology will charge your account 1.5% or $7 (whichever is greater) each month your account is past due. If you make a partial payment, the late charge will still apply.

I Can’t Make a Payment

Customers who can’t make a Knology bill payment should contact customer service for information on payment plan options. Because Knology operates in multiple states, it is hard to detail the exact payment plan offered as they may differ from state to state. We do know that Knology will work with customers to reduce payment amounts on past due accounts. The customer service representative can also work with you to reduce your Knology bill.

• Partial payments: If you have phone service in addition to another service from Knology, partial payment will be applied to your phone service first. This is because phone service is considered a lifeline utility while cable and Internet are not.
