What To Do When You Can’t Pay Your Insight Communications Bill

Insight Communications is a cable company providing service to certain areas of Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana. They provide cable TV, high-speed Internet, and digital telephone services. They offer customers a choice between one service, or a bundle of two or more services, often using an introductory rate that goes up after a certain number of months.

How To Pay The Bill

Insight Communications offers several convenient ways to pay your bill. You can make your payment by phone, online, or in person at one of the payment centers. You can also choose between paper and electronic billing, and you have the option to make either one-time or automatic recurring payments.

Questions About Your Billing Statement or Account?

The General Billing FAQs on the Insight Communications website offers customers a searchable source of billing and fee information. There is a brief description of franchise fees, but no other fees are listed. Customer service has information on other fees that may appear on your Insight Communications bill at one of the local customer service phone numbers.

How The Penalty Fees Work

We were unable to reach a customer service representative who was willing and able to provide this information to us as non customers. Generally, there is a fee for being late with your payment, typically no more than two percent of the past due balance; and you may find a fee for returned payments in addition to what you incur from your bank. You may also be charged a collection procedure fee.

I Can’t Make A Payment

As Insight Communications is a cable company rather than a power or phone company, they do not have programs in place to help you if you fall behind. You may be eligible for a discount on your phone services, and any payments you make may be applied to the phone portion of your bill to keep those services on. For any questions or concerns, contact customer service. If your account is overdue you will receive notice in writing with a final payment due date. If the bill is not paid in full by this date, then your services will be disconnected, and your equipment needs to be returned to Insight. If the equipment is not returned, you could be charged for it and have your account sent to a collection agency.
