What To Do When You Can’t Pay Your Gulf Power Bill

How To Pay The Bill

Gulf Power Bill Pay is easy. The company offers the following payment methods: in person, by phone, online, automatic bank draft, and by mail.

In person payments:Visit one of the Gulf Power bill pay payment center locationsnear you. These are CheckFree payment centers, and they do not accept late payments. When you pay a current bill with this method, you need to allow three to five business days for processing.

Pay by phone:Call BillMatrix at: 1-800-831-6502. There will be a fee of $3.60 for using this service. Pay by phone using credit/debit card, or bank account. This fee is charged on behalf of BillMatrix, and is not given to Gulf Power.

Gulf Power Bill Pay online:You can make a one time payment by visiting online services at: https://customerservice.southerncompany.com/eBill/BillPay.aspx. If you want to pay via credit or debit card, then you must use BillMatrix.

Pay by mail:Send check or money order to the following address:

How The Penalty Fees Work

If you cannot pay your Gulf Power bill on time, you may be charged a percentage of the past due balance as a late fee. If your payment is declined by your bank, you may be charged a fee, in addition to the fee your financial institution charges. You may also be required to pay a fee to restore service if it was interrupted due to non-payment. This fee could be higher if service has to be restored outside normal business hours.

Low-income customers also have the option of applying for the LIHEAP Home Energy Assistance Program. If you meet the income qualifications, you’ll receive monthly payments for up to one year before having to reapply for LIHEAP.
