What to Do When You Can’t Pay Your Electric Power Board Bill

How to Pay the Bill
Pay online: You can pay your Electric Power Board bill online at https://ecrm.epb.net/ecrm/security/showlogin.rails?returnUrl=%2fecrm%2fopenidauth%2fapproval. When you register for an online account, the first thing the form asks for is your account number. Have your bill ready when you register.
Pay by phone: Phone payments are accepted at 1-423-648-1372. The customer service representative will accept credit cards, debit cards and electronic checks.
Pay in person: In person payments are accepted at the main office and Electric Power Board branch locations. You can use check, credit card, debit card or cash to make your payment.

How the Penalty Fees Work
Penalty fees are added to your account if payments are late or your service is disconnected.
- Reconnect fees: $29 (at meter); $64 (at meter after hours); $75 (at pole).
- Late payment fee: 5% of the first $250 owed and 1% of the remaining balance.
- Returned payment fee: $30 per returned payment.
I Can’t Make a Payment
If you can’t pay your Electric Power Board bill, contact the customer service department for a payment arrangement. The number for customer service is 1-423-648-1372. You can also sign up for a payment arrangement through your online account.
