How to Pay the Bill

Coweta-Fayette EMC offers multiple options for customers needing to make a payment. Some options provide faster account credit than other options.

Pay by mail: You can mail your personal check or money order to one of the three in person payment centers.

How the Penalty Fees Work

The Service Rules and Regulations document lists many of the important penalty fees Coweta-Fayette EMC may charge your account if you don’t pay your bill.

• Returned check fee: $25 per returned payment
• Reconnect fee: $40 per reconnect
• Tampering fees: From $250 to $500

I Can’t Make a Payment

The first thing you should do if you are having trouble paying your energy bill is call customer service. The customer service department can work with you to place your past due balance on a payment plan.

• Operation Round-Up: Customers sign-up to donate money with each bill to this fund. Bills are rounded up to the nearest dollar with the change being placed in the Operation Round-up fund.
• LIHEAP: The LIHEAP Home Energy Assistance Program is available to low-income customers. If qualified, monthly energy assistance will be provided for one year. Customers cannot apply for LIHEAP through the cooperative. They must visit a local office of the Department of Human Services for more information.
