What To Do When You Can’t Pay Your Comcast Bill

Comcast is a cable company providing cable television, high speed Internet, and digital telephone services to 39 states and the District of Columbia. Customers interested in more than one service may qualify for a temporary bundle discount, generally lasting anywhere from six to 12 months, and increasing in price thereafter.

How To Pay The Bill

Comcast offers customers the ability to pay their bills online, by mail, over the phone, and in person at one of the pay stations. Paperless billing and automatic payments through bank draft are also available. There are no service discounts for seniors or those living on a low income.

To make your Comcast payment online visit https://customer.comcast.com/Public/Home.aspx. From here, you can choose between a one-time payment or automatic recurring payments through your checking account.

For phone payments call 1-800-COMCAST and follow the prompts to make your payment using your credit or debit card.

To make your payment by mail, enclose the billing slip and payment in the envelope included with your bill and mail it to the address on the billing slip. If you have misplaced the billing slip, visit the Comcast Service Center Locations page to find a local service center that accepts mail payments.

To make your payment in person at one of the many payment locations, visit this payment center locator to find the Comcast Service Center that is most convenient to you. These locations are also where you will need to go to return or exchange equipment.

Questions About Your Billing Statement or Account?

Comcast offers a central support page for all Comcast customers. The Customer Support Page details billing and payment options. We did not see fees listed in the FAQs section, so customers may wish to contact customer service at 1-800-226-2278 for more information on specific fees, including late payment fees and returned payment fees.

How The Penalty Fees Work

There will be a late fee for late payments, and this amount varies based on your services. There will also be a fee for returned checks, plus any fees you incur from your bank. For more information about these fees, speak to a customer service representative, as the information was not released to us as non-customers.

I Can’t Make A Payment

Comcast was not able to provide information to non-customers about the possibility of billing arrangements or what happens when a payment is not made in a timely manner. This information is not listed on their website. Services are billed one month in advance, so it could be around 30 days before services are interrupted due to non-payment. You may be able to call customer service and ask about a payment arrangement, but this may not be an available option.
