How to Pay the Bill

If you are a Baldwin EMC customer, you will receive a paper bill unless you sign-up for the e-Bill option. You can send bill payment using the envelope included with your bill, or use one of the following payment options.

Pay online: You can pay your Baldwin EMC bill online at http://www.baldwinemc.com/billing/online.cfm. You need the account number for your account to access your bill online and make a payment. You need to enter your account number without the dash to log-in.

Pay by mail: If you don’t have the envelope that came with your Baldwin EMC bill, you can send your personal check or money order to:

How the Penalty Fees Work

According to the Security Deposits and Fees page on the Baldwin EMC website, customers are responsible for multiple penalty fees if they don’t pay their bill.

  • Additional security deposit: If your account is disconnected for non-payment, placed on the collection list or if you present more than one check or other form of payment that is returned for insufficient funds, Baldwin EMC will increase your security deposit up to $350.

Other fees charged by the EMC may include:

  • Late payment fee
  • Returned payment fee

I Can’t Pay My Bill

If you find your Baldwin EMC bill is too high, you need to contact the customer service department immediately to discuss a payment plan. Baldwin EMC may place your past due balance on an extended payment plan to help you recover. The number for customer service is 1-800-837-3374.

LIHEAP: If you fall into the low-income category, you may qualify for the LIHEAP Home Energy Assistance Program. The program requires applicants to apply once per calendar year and prove low-income status.
