What to Do When You Can’t Pay Your Hughes Network Systems Bill
Hughes Network Systems is a cable company also known as Hughes Net. The company website is a bit confusing, as there are links for new customers who want to start service and existing customers who want to access their account information online. Despite the cluttered navigation, the website does offer current customers access to online bills and a means of making a payment without registering for an account.
How to Pay the Bill

Questions About Your Billing Statement or Account?
Customers often have questions about their billing statement when fees and service charges suddenly appear. It is best to contact the customer service department for more information on these fees and other questions about your account. The number for customer service is 1-866-347-3292. You can also search for an answer to your question in the Customer Care Support section.
How the Penalty Fees Work
When it comes to charging penalty fees, customers may be more worried about the early termination fees than the late payment fees. While we found no reference to late payment fees and returned payment fees, we’re sure those exist for Hughes Network Systems. We did, however, find a list of early termination fees. Customers must sign a 24-month contract with the company before service is started.
Early Termination Fee:
- Cancel during first 30 days: $99 lease fee not refunded. $300 equipment fee if equipment is not returned.
- Cancel after first 30 days: Early termination fee up to $400. $300 equipment fee is equipment is not returned. $99 lease fee not refunded.
- Cancel after 24 months: $300 equipment fee is equipment is not returned.
I Can’t Make a Payment
If you can’t pay your Hughes Network Systems bill, contact the customer service department immediately. There are far too many fees associated with your account to wait on making that call. Customer service can be reached at 1-866-293-8945. With a 24-month service contract, customers are bound by the contract to maintain payments for at least two years or they risk paying an early termination fee.
