What to Do When You Can’t Pay Your Cobb EMC Bill

Cobb EMC is an electric company cooperative serving the area in and around Atlanta, Georgia. The company started small with less than 500 customers, but it has grown to serve nearly 200,000 customers. The goal of Cobb EMC is to provide reliable service to customers.

How to Pay the Bill

If you need options when making your Cobb EMC bill payment, you can choose from one of several offered by the cooperative.

Pay with autopay: The autopay option is available to customers who wish to setup bill payment to be deducted from a bank account each month. Customers must register with CustomerConnection to establish autopay.

Pay at a cash pay location: Customers can make in person payments at one of several locations. There is a $1.00 fee associated with in person payments.

Pay by mail: Customers can make payment by personal check or money order. Mail payments should be made out to Cobb EMC and sent to:

How the Penalty Fees Work

There are no fee amounts listed on the Cobb EMC website. There is mention of fees associated with non-payment, including:

Reconnect fee: Charged to reconnect service if the customer account is disconnected for non-payment.

Collection fee: If a customer service agent must visit your home to collect payment you will be charged a fee.
