What to Do When You Can’t Pay Your City of Scottsdale Bill

The City of Scottsdale is one of the largest cities in Arizona. The town provides utility services to approximately 217,000 residents. The town is a bustling hub between Phoenix, Paradise City, Carefree and Tempe.

How to Pay the Bill

The City of Scottsdale provides several quick, easy and convenient methods for customers to pay your monthly bill. The available options include:

Pay online: Customers can pay your City of Scottsdale bill online by visiting https://www.vuebill.com/scottsdale/. You will not be charged a convenience fee for pay your bill online.

Pay by phone: You cannot pay your Scottsdale utility bill by phone.

Pay by mail: Customers can send your City of Scottsdale bill payment to:

How the Penalty Fees Work

You may notice service charges or fees on your monthly billing statement or account. The charges include a one-time security deposit, returned check fees and late payment fees.

  • Security deposit – The City of Scottsdale charges a security deposit equal to the average of two months worth of energy use.
  • Returned check – In the event your payment is returned from your financial institution, the City of Scottsdale charges you a $25 fee.
  • Late payment – When your bill payment is received past the due date, the charge is 1.5% of the past due amount.
  • Disconnection – When your service is disconnected, the City of Scottsdale charges you a $55 fee.

I Can’t Make a Payment

The City of Scottsdale provides several programs and services to customers that can’t pay your bill. The programs include:

  • Payment arrangement – When you are facing a financial crisis, the City of Scottsdale will set-up an appropriate payment arrangement that fits your monthly budget. You will need to call customer service at 480-312-3111 in order to apply for a payment arrangement.
  • Scottsdale Cares – This program accepts donations from customers and the funds are dispersed to customers that are in need.
