Automatic deduction: Customers residing in Alberta, Canada can pay your Just Energy bill by having the funds deducted from your checking or savings account.

How the Penalty Fees Work
When we spoke to the customer service representative at Just Energy, they informed us the company charges one-time and recurring fee. The fees include insufficient funds fees, early termination fees, disconnection fees, late payment fees and security deposits.
- Insufficient funds – When your payment is returned from your financial institution, Just Energy charges customers a fee of $25.
- Early termination – If you terminate your contract, Just Energy charges you an early termination fee of $75.
- Disconnection – When you service is terminated for late payment, Just Energy charges a fee of $25.
- Security deposit – Just Energy charges a security deposit equivalent to two months worth of service. If you qualify for a rate reduction, Just Energy allows you to make your security deposit payment in two equal installments.
- Late payment – When Just Energy receives your payment past the due date, the company charges a fee equivalent to 5% of the past due amount.
