How to Pay Your Bill

Pay online: All customers can pay your Nevada Power bill online by visiting http://www.nvenergy.com/home/paymentbilling/myaccount.cfm. This service requires the customer register for a free online account.

Pay at a payment location: Payment locations are available throughout Nevada and California. Customers simply enter their home address and search for the nearest payment location. Authorized payment locations are suggested if you’ve receive a disconnect notice.

Pay by mail: Customers can mail check payments to the following locations based on the area in which they live.

Pay automatically: Automatic payments are deducted from your bank account each month. Nevada Power allows customers to sign up for this service via their account page online.

How the Penalty Fees Work

• Deposits: Deposits are charged on new accounts at the discretion of Nevada Power or NV Energy. The total amount of the deposit depends on the usage history of the residence and/or credit history. If service is being started at a new residence, Nevada power charges a $100 deposit.
• Late payment fee: A late payment fee is charged on all accounts not paid by the due date.
• Returned check fee: If a payment is returned for non-payment, Nevada Power will charge a returned funds fee. The company will also require the total amount due paid in cash.
• Disconnection/Reconnection: Nevada Power will charge a reconnection fee if service must be turned on after disconnection.

I Can’t Make a Payment

• Third party protection: A third-party can be notified if you are in danger of having service disconnected. The third-party will not be responsible for the total amount due, but they are given the option to help make payment so service is not disconnected.
• Green cross: Customers with electrical equipment required for health purposes receive notification of planned outages before they occur.
• Disabled customers: Disabled customers should notify Nevada Power of any disability that requires electrical equipment. This could be taken into consideration before service is disconnected.
• Energy assistance: Nevada Power offers information on EAP (Energy Assistance Program) and Weatherization Assistance.
• Payment plans: Payment plans are available for customers having trouble paying Nevada power bills. Customers must contact customer service at 1-800-962-0399 before service is disconnected. All payment plan payments will be due in addition to current charges.
• LIHEAP: When seeking payment assistance programs, you often ask how to qualify for energy assistance with LIHEAP? The application process is simple, but is only available for a limited time due to limited funding. Upon approval, the funds go toward paying your Nevada Power heating and cooling bill.
