What to Do When You Can’t Pay Your Southwest Gas Bill

How to Pay the Bill
Pay online: You can pay your Southwest Gas bill online with a checking or savings account at https://myaccount.swgas.com/paybill.
Pay online credit or debit card: Customers wishing to use a credit or debit card to make payment online must do so through Western Union. There is a service fee associated with Western Union online payments.
Pay automatically: Automatic bill pay is available to customers with an online account with Southwest Gas. After creating an account, customers fill in banking information to enroll for automatic payments. Payments are deducted on the due date each month.
Pay at a pay station: In-person payments for Southwest Gas bills can be made at a variety of locations depending on the state in which you live. You can search for pay station locations online.

How the Penalty Fees Work
Southwest gas charges security deposits, late payment fees and returned check fees. A reconnection fee may be assessed if your service is disconnected for non-payment.
- Security deposits: The amount of your security deposit will be determined by credit rating and past account activity. Customers with recurring late payments may be required to pay a security deposit to continue using Southwest Gas.
- Late payment fees: A late payment fee is assessed based on the total amount of your past due bill. The fee is assessed on the day after the due date unless the payment date is extended.
- Returned check fees: Southwest Gas charges returned check fees on returned payments. The fee is based on state laws.
I Can’t Make a Payment
Deferred payment program: Customers having trouble making payment for gas can request deferred payment. This program is available in all states serviced by Southwest Gas.
